"Kamerata meets Jon Lord" performance at Athens Concert Hall

Friday November the 16th was the most amazing and humbling music experience in my whole life so far. Words cannot describe the feeling, and I haven't been that excited to be part of a musical project in a really long time!

Rehearsals were intense, took place at the Athens Concert Hall itself. It was such a fresh and beautiful experience to play with a full orchestra, the sound of the string, horn, woodwind and percussion sections was just fantastic. Not to mention the whole vibe of playing to the conductor's tempo, which was probably the most challenging part of the rehearsals for me.

All in all, it was an absolute honour and delight to perform Jon Lord's music with the famous Kamerata Orchestra led by world class conductor George Petrou. And of course we had a blast with the band, Kostis Vihos on bass, Yannis Stavropoulos on drums, Panos Politis on hammond and Emilianos Stamatakis on vocals.

Part I: Concerto for Group and Orchestra [1968] by Jon Lord

Part II: Sarabande [1975] by Jon Lord

Encore: Hush, Lazy & Child in Time by Deep Purple
